NWA writers expand on the theme of Key Ingredients, reading their pieces developed in a previous workshop in the garden exploring the ideas of local and sustainable food systems, urban food access, affordability, and community gardens.

The workshop is led by Bart Schultz, University of Chicago Senior Lecturer in Humanities and Director of the Civic Knowledge Project and Timuel Black, Cultural Historian. The workshop and reading are supported by the National Endowment for the Arts.

Recorded on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at the Timuel D. Black Edible Arts Garden.
