Edward H. Bennett, junior partner in Burnham’s architectural practice and co-author of the Plan of Chicago, was a key leader in the City Beautiful movement and a successful designer of urban amenities such as Buckingham Fountain.

Mary Woolever is an Art and Architecture Archivist for the Ryerson & Burnham Libraries at the Art Institute of Chicago. She presented on Bennett’s career, using documentation from his archival collection at the Art Institute of Chicago.
