The annual Puerto Rican parade takes place Saturday in Chicago. Eight Forty-Eight celebrates the festivities with a live broadcast from WBEZ’s West Side Bureau in Humboldt Park. Community leader Enrique Salgado Jr. gives a tour of the park that gave the Chicago neighborhood its name. WBEZ’s Chip Mitchell explains what the last census numbers tell us about the size and migration of the Puerto Rican population in Humboldt Park. And the Dueling Critics talk about Chicago’s West Side theater scene and review Lighthousekeeping, on stage now at New Leaf Theatre.
