Every Person Is A Philosopher is a celebration and fundraiser supporting the Neighborhood Writing Alliance. This year we are celebrating 15 years of the Neighborhood Writing Alliance and 20 years of the Journal of Ordinary Thought. We are taking this opportunity to honor and thank our founders Hal Adams, Deborah Epstein, and Sunny Fischer. The evening features readings by our writers and a conversation between David Ritz, Grammy-winning music biographer, essayist, and lyricist, and Aaron Cohen, Associate Editor of DownBeat magazine. David Ritz’s work includes collaborations with Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, Natalie Cole, Smokey Robinson, Ray Charles, and Janet Jackson.
