Faisal Khan left the Legislative Inspector General position in November after Chicago aldermen voted to eliminate the office. He says his hands were often tied at City Hall. Tips could not remain anonymous, and people under investigation had to be notified. Khan now says he’ll do similar work at his new organization called Project Six, but with fewer restrictions. The donor-funded project aims to investigate and reveal corruption within city government.
