Uganda has seen an explosion in new churches in the three decades since Idi Amin repressed Christianity and sent the entire Evangelical movement underground. Eighty-six percent of Ugandans now say religion is a major force in their lives. And it’s spilling out of the church and into the clinics and hospital wards full of AIDS patients.
