The Green City Market
was dominated by asparagus today. I paid $3.50 for a bunch
--I plan to gently steam it and then dip it in butter and lemon. I went out to farmer David Cleverdon's farm
last year around this time to talk about organic farming and asparagus--the story

Also at the market today--rhubarb (but still no strawberries), onions, fresh garlic, chives, boc choi, lettuces, potatoes, lots of potted vegetable and herb plants.
Last week I cooked my fresh garlic and spinach up together: (heat, nice olive oil, add sliced fresh garlic for a minute or two, add rinsed spinach and a pinch of salt and steam until spinach wilts.)
