Fear Heightened Among Immigrant Workers In Chicago Area

New immigration policies from the Trump administration have some workers in Chicago’s immigrant communities on edge. Attendance has been lower than usual at the Albany Park Workers Center, where immigrant day laborers and housekeepers can wait to be hired. 

But the fear isn’t new. A Chicago hiring site was raided in August, before the presidential election.
