Filmmaker Apichatpong Weerasethakul makes films that are lush with images of nature and layered with moments and characters that represent the present and the past, this life and previous ones.
To find out more about his approach, host Alison Cuddy spoke with Weerasethakul from his home in Thailand. She started by talking about the opening shots of his film Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives, in which a female buffalo makes a break for the jungle.
