For the past nine years artists from around the globe have descended on Chicago for a week in September to showcase their musical tradtions. World Music Festival Chicago is now 10 years old and this year there will be more than 60 bands performing around the city.

Tonight, Tony Sarabia will scratch the surface of the sounds you can expect to hear during WMF. He’ll be joined by Brian Keigher, Programs Coordinator for Chicago’s Department of Cultural Affaris which puts on the fest. Also joining in on the conversation is Bruce Krippner who books talent at Chicago’s Martyrs’.

Plus, a week early due to next week’s Radio M live remote, it’s New Sounds with Chicago Reader music writer Peter Margasak.
