Fourth of July revelry, fueled by burgers, brats and backyard imbibing, seems to spill over not just to the rest of the weekend, but the entire month. Summer is in full-swing and Chicagoans are ready to kick back, preferably with a cold brewski. There are lots of beer and daquiri-related events on tap for July, but a few food events sneak onto the calendar as well.

Adam Seger’s Ginger Hibiscus Freeze

“Nacional” Daquiri Day with Adam Seger

Monday, July 19 is National Daquiri Day, and while you could celebrate with the usual bottle of that pre-made mix (please, don’t), Adam Seger will be whipping up frozen treats that celebrate the versatility and fun of the daiquiri. Seger’s frozen cocktails were featured in Food & Wine‘s book Cocktails ‘09, and will be available for $10 each. Drinks include the Ginger Hibiscus Freeze, Passion Colada, Spice and Ice, Bloody Margarita, Frozen Bananas Foster and more. Cocktails will be available in the Mojito Garden, lounge and dining room. Nacional 27 is located at 325 W. Huron Street.
