  • This Sunday, the 17th, ChicaGourmets is hosting a dinner at Quince in Evanston. Reception is at 5 pm, with a dinner starting at 5:30 p.m. If the address looks familiar, it’s because it used to house Trio. Cost is $69 for members, $79 for non-members (all-inclusive, tax and tip).
    • On Monday, the 18th, The Gage is hosting “A Taste of Ancient Ales,” partnering with Delaware’s Dogfish Head Craft Brewery for an evening of limited-production “ancient ales” paired with rustic seasonal specials from Chef Dirk Flanigan. The event begins at 6 p.m.
    • Also on Monday, Ethiopian-born, Swedish-raised, New York-trained Chef Marcus Samuelsson and Executive Chef Nicole Pederson host a reception and dinner party at C-House Fish and Chops. This cocktail reception and four course dinner features craft beer pairings by Goose Island. Cost is $65 per person, or $85 to include an autographed copy of Samuelsson’s recently published “New American Table.” For reservations, call C-House at 312.523.0923.
