On Friday’s Afternoon Shift, The Break Room features indie-rock band Dr. Dog with their song “That Old Black Hole” off their latest album Be the Void. Formed outside Philadelphia in 2006 and signed to ANTI- Records in 2009, Dr. Dog is influenced by bands of the 1960s and has drawn comparisons to indie-rock bands of the 1990s - especially Guided By Voices and Pavement. They’re a part of this year’s Lollapalooza lineup, playing Friday afternoon on the Red Bull Soundstage.
