You have already seen his work everywhere whether you know it or not. Learn from an ultimate tastemaker: Los Angeles-based graphic artist Geoff McFetridge discusses his recent design projects. McFetridge’s work has graced magazine covers, clothing, posters, and furniture. Plus, he’s made graphics and logo for companies such as ESPN, MTV, Nike, Burton Snowboards, Girl Skateboards, and Stussy. His latest work includes the relaunch of Napster, HP’s “N is for Nanotechnology,” and an animation campaign for Orbitz.com. The Samuel W. Koffler Lectures on Chicago Art were established through a generous gift by Mrs. Blanche Koffler to the Chicago Contemporary Campaign.  This event is copresented by Columbia College Chicago Art and Design Department.

Some of today’s most innovative artists, designers, and thinkers explore contemporary art and design through stories about their experiences and careers. The Museum of Contemporary Art’s People Who Shape our World spring lecture series presents perspectives from visual artist Vik Muniz, Village Voice art critic Jerry Saltz, architect Nanako Umemoto, and graphic designer Geoff McFetridge.  Each lecture provides an opportunity to learn about how contemporary art practices enrich each person’s work, and is archived as a part of this online collection:
