Richter archivist Dieter Elger presents his new book Gerhard Richter: A Life in Painting. Benefitting from private interviews, Elger is able to elucidate Richter’s aesthetics of detachment and ambiguity, providing a rich, personal, and vivid portrait of this important artist.
