: Jennifer Rice Epstein
Looking for work as
: I have an MFA in creative writing (fiction) from the University of Arizona and would really like to pick up some classes teaching‚ creative writing. I taught while at UA and loved it. I also have experience as a journalist and editor, and would welcome writing or editing work, too.
What color is your parachute?
Not golden, that's for sure!
When can you start?
What are your weaknesses as an employee?
Trick question! I am a good employee, actually. My weakness as a
candidate is that I am relatively early in my career. In this
economy, it seems that there is not much room for a new graduate.
What is your favorite word to say out loud? Why.
While I was in grad school, Lydia Davis visited our program, and she
detailed the wonderfully evocative qualities of the word balefully.
Just say it out loud. Balefully. It's wonderful!
What else should we know about you?
I am nearly finished with revisions on a literary novel called Mr.
Eclipse. I review books for Publishers Weekly on a freelance basis.
My undergraduate degree is also in English (from UCLA). You can view
a more detailed work history via my Linked In profile here
and I can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org
