Chas and Marco Salmen are the founders of Organic Health Response, or OHR. Started in 2008, OHR represents the vision of Kenyan organic farmers, teachers and health workers on Mfangano Island in Kenya’s Lake Victoria. The island’s population of nearly 20,000 has one of the highest rates of HIV prevalence in the world.

OHR employs an innovative combination of information technology, social networking and environmental science to turn the tide against the spread of the disease. Chas and Marco tell us about the island’s population and shares the fascinating story behind the origins of OHS.
