Each Thursday we hear about an individual who’s decided to work to make the world a better place.

We’ve featured a lot of former Peace Corps volunteers on our Global Activism series.  There was the Vocational Training for Children at Risk project in Ethiopia, and Paul’s Computer Institute in Cameroon.

Today, we’re going to hear from another former Peace Corps volunteer.

Barbara Janes went to Pakistan as a Peace Corps volunteer in the sixties.  She returned there recently as a volunteer with The Citizens Foundation to lead science education workshops with teachers.

Barbara told Jerome where she was in Pakistan when she first went there as a Peace Corps volunteer in 1961.
