Bryan Kersten—Founder, Java Friends Fund, collaborating with Indonesian NGO Nurani Dunia to rebuild homes destroyed in the May 2006 earthquake

The Indonesian island of Java has been hit by a laundry list of natural disasters in recent years. Just last week a tsunami killed more than 500 people. An earthquake in May left 20,000 without homes. Chicago Bryan Kersten lives in Jakarta and is asking Chicagoans to help him rebuild some of those homes.

Bryan’s friends are hosting a musical benefit this evening called “Java for Java.” It’s at Mojoe’s Hothouse at 7 pm.
