Tom Derdak—Founder and Executive Director, Global Alliance for AfricaMore than a decade ago, Tom Derdak and a group of health care professionals with concerned citizens came together to do something about HIV and other health problems in Africa. Since then they’ve learned a great deal about fighting HIV in Africa. Through economic empowerment, the Global Alliance for Africa focuses on helping children and families affected by HIV. By partnering with African organizations they reach more than 4000 children.
