Tony Sarabia hosts the WBEZ music program Radio M. He joins us on Wednesdays for Global Notes, our weekly look at music from around the world.Today Tony and Jerome listen to Bachata, a style of music from the Dominican Republic that combines Cuban boleros with Latin rhythms.
Bachata Musician Joan Soriano will perform September 26th, 2010, 1pm at the Chicago World Music Festival at Navy pier. The event is FREE. Soriano is the subject of the documentary film El Duque de la Bachata.
