ByAs 2012 looms, Jerome and Radio M host Tony Sarabia pick their favorite music from this year. Tony divulges his overall favorites, from a new compilation of Burkina Faso funk from the 1970s to the 2011 release from Brazilian musician Marcelo Frota; Jerome hashes over Global Notes’ featured albums of 2011, some of which weren’t released in 2011 but nevertheless deserved attention like Chamber Music, a collaborative effort from Malian kora player Ballake Sissoko and French cellist Vincent Segal.
