Groupon is partnering with Chicago Public Schools to allow users to donate school supplies to low-income students.

Those visiting the Groupon website can donate $11 school-supply kits or $18 packages that include a kit and a backpack. The backpacks and school supplies will be distributed at back-to-school events and neighborhood festivals. The “Kits for Kidz” campaign will run through Aug. 7.

“We need everyone’s help in making sure all CPS students are prepared with the tools they need to succeed in school on day one,” CPS CEO Jean-Claude Brizard said in a statement.

Last year, 1,200 “Kits for Kidz” were donated after more than $15,000 in donations, CPS said.
