In the United States, there’s a lot of discussion about the Tea Party candidates who are likely to win elections next week.

Our current political scene resembles the atmosphere last year in the U.K., when the extreme right British National Party (BNP) was poised to take advantage of the perfect political storm: disillusionment with the major political parties, scandals in parliament, economic turmoil and low-voter turnout.

The BNP’s momentum was halted by the Hope not hate campaign. The online campaign informed voters about the platforms of extreme right wing parties, including the BNP and English Defence League (EDL).
