Hubbard Street goes to Israel

It’s not every day you can see robots and Gaga movement. Check out Hubbard Street’s two wild rides on its spring program, through Sunday at the Harris, of all-Israeli dance by Ohad Naharin, AD of Tel Aviv’s Batsheva Dance Company, and Sharon Eyal, its house choreographer.

Both pieces are new to Chicagoans—at least more or less. Naharin is known for recycling his work, and “THREE TO MAX” will look sort of familiar to anyone who’s seen HSDC’s well-loved “Minus 16” or Batsheva two years ago at the Auditorium. Eyal’s club-traveling “Too Beaucoup” is brand-new.
