Illinois Communities With Closing Nuclear Plants Face An Uncertain Future

Illinois towns that rely on the Clinton and Quad cities nuclear plants are facing an uncertain future now that that Exelon Energy has announced its shutting them down.

The Clinton Chamber of Commerce says the Clinton plant provides 150 jobs in her town of about 7 thousand. Clinton also relies heavily on tax revenue from the plant.

About 100 contractors will be sent home from the Clinton plant this week.
