U.S. Congressman Mike Quigley (Illinois’ 5th Congressional District) presented a keynote address for the 15th Annual Equity in Action Conference, “Immigration and Social Justice,” at Northeastern Illinois University. Throughout his career, Quigley has been a champion for environmental protection, equal rights, and ethical, open government.

Michael “Mike” Quigley is a United States Congressman serving the 5th Congressional District of Illinois. Quigley was the victor of an April 7, 2009 special election, held in order to fill the remainder of the term vacated by now-White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel. Quigley is also a former member of the Cook County Board of Commissioners, where he represented Chicago’s North Side neighborhoods of Lakeview, Uptown and Rogers Park.
