There’s a push to create Indiana’s first national park along the shores of Lake Michigan. The Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore has attracted about 2 million visitors a year. To attract visitors from beyond the Midwest, Indiana’s congressional delegation introduced a bill this week designating the 15,000 acre dunes a national park. Democratic Congressman Pete Visclosky from Indiana submitted the bill.
