BboyB and Trixter are two of Chicago’s first “B-boys” - kids who are dedicated to the hip-hop movement of break-dancers, graffiti artists, and rappers that first arrived in Chicago in the early 1980s. They visited the MobileBooth in order to document some of Chicago’s hip-hop history by telling their own stories. Trixter began by asking BboyB to recount his first experience with hip-hop.

They were recorded in the StoryCorps MobileBooth when it visited Chicago in 2005. This story originally broadcast November 7, 2005.
