Yes indeed, it’s the second  Friday of the month and here at Radio M that means the Featured Album. On this outing we play tracks from the sophomore release by the youngest song of legendary Afro Beat master Fela Kuti. Seun Kuti took over his father’s band when he was only 14 years old after Fela’s death.

His sound is closer to Fela’s than his much older brother Femi’s, but Seun is his own musician.  On his release- From Africa with Fury: Rise, Seun is more confident in his writing, arranging and musicianship. He gets some producing help from Brian Eno, who knows a thing or two about African music.
