The Reverend Jesse Jackson and a coalition of community leaders are weighing in on how to stop youth violence. Organizers say suburban gun stores are part of the problem. Tomorrow they plan to march outside a Melrose Park gun shop.

At a news conference today, Jackson called for tougher gun laws and for the government to provide more jobs for young people.

JACKSON: We need to be able to trace the gun flow. But most of all young Americans need jobs and education, not guns and drugs. Jobs and education, not guns and drugs.

The Rainbow Push Coalition invited ministers, leaders and victims of violence for a day-long anti-gun summit. They want laws that would limit the number of guns a person can purchase. They also say a culture that accepts violent behavior needs to be changed.
