Federal Judge James B. Zagel has had a varied and distinguished career. He has presided over several high-profile trials, including the Family Secrets mob trial, and the trial (and re-trial) of former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich. But the bench is not Judge Zagel’s only public platform. He’s also written a novel, and appeared on film (as a judge).
