A Cook County judge plans to review emails to and from Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner’s press aides. The Better Government Association, a watchdog group, has sued the governor’s office over a Freedom of Information Act request for emails. The two sides disagree about whether certain emails — about how to respond to press inquiries — are exempt. The judge has asked to see the emails herself before deciding.
