Chicago (and now California) artist Kid Static brings diverse musical influences into his songs, especially when it comes to blending singing and rapping over synth-heavy beats. His latest album Hypnotized attests to that, while his new upcoming album promises to bring even more of his rock influences, diverse instrumentals and lyrical dexterity. Kid Static joined Jesse Menendez on Vocalo’s MusicVox to talk about the struggle to overcome the fear of being honest (back when he first got into music), some of the themes behind his current and new album, as well as the Pledge Music campaign he’s launched to engage his fans and help him get the new record out.
