Kim Jong-Il Taps Youngest Son as Successor

Kim Jong-un, youngest son of North Korean leader Kim Jong-il, has been promoted to a four-star general. Jong-un is expected to succeed his 68 year-old ailing father and carry on the family tradition of power in North Korea.

Jerome talks to Bruce Cumings, history professor at the University of Chicago and author of the books The Korean War and Dominion from Sea to Sea: Pacific Ascendancy and American Power about what this means for the region.
