When Lindsay Fuller up and left her hometown of Birmingham, Alabama for the Pacific Northwest, about the last thing she was thinking was to hit the bars and clubs and perform songs for people. Though she did like to play and sing, she never quite saw herself as a working musician.

The tones and themes the classic southern gothic writers had a way of creeping into Fuller’s music. The Alabama-born songstress didn’t realize it, though, until fans and friends in her new home in Seattle, Washington – where she now lives – pointed it out. Fuller, joined by bandmate Jeff Fileder, stops by Eight Forty-Eight Wednesday to talk about her unintentional path into music, and about what happened when Southern Goth met the Pacific Northwest.
