President Obama delivers the State of the Union address this evening at the Capitol. Following that, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) will give the official Republican response and Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN), who leads the House Tea Party Caucus, will post a video statement of her own online.

Before during and after the president’s address (which begins at 9 p.m. ET), we’ll post updates as they happen in the box below. They should flow in automatically. And before and after the speeches, you can submit comments and questions (which will be moderated). Click the “comment now” tab. While we’re “live,” updates will show up at the top of the box. When we’re done for the night, everything will switch so that you can read how things went in chronological order.

NPR.org is going to be streaming its coverage, and many NPR member stations will be broadcasting it. You can, of course, watch on C-SPAN and the other cable news networks. Frank will be analyzing things over at It’s All Politics. But we hope you join us — to follow the news and join the discussion: Copyright 2011 National Public Radio.
