This week Wild Flag made their network television debut on Late Night with David Letterman performing this song, “Romance.”

The indie powerhouse has been bowling over audiences all year since their triumphant showing at South By Southwest in March. Mary Timony, Carrie Brownstein, Janet Weiss and Rebecca Cole have spent the year criss-crossing the country winning new fans by the club-full.

On Tuesday following their Late Night performance, Paul Schaffer remarked, “They’re my new favorite band!” He’s probably not the only person saying that this week. We’d just like to say they were our new favorite band first! In October they performed in our studios for Sound Opinions and have placed high on both Jim DeRogatis and Greg Kot‘s year-end “Best of” lists.
