For twenty years journalist and author Mark Hertsgaard has investigated climate change, but the birth of his daughter gave his work new urgency. Increasingly, his thoughts have moved more towards adapting to climate change.

Mark joins us to discuss his latest book, HOT: Living Through the Next Fifty Years on Earth, which grew out of a cover story he wrote for Vanity Fair’s first “green” issue in May 2006. The book details the work communities here in Chicago and around the world are doing to adapt to climate change.
