Kansas City indie Latin rock band Making Movies are on a tour that brought them through Chicago. They played three shows at Estrella Negra, House of Blues and Cobra Lounge, had their fix of traditional hot dogs and a “power hour” with Fighting Cock whiskey:)
In other words, the tour has been a huge success. And as a culmination of their stay in the city, they joined Jesse Menendez on Vocalo’s MusicVox to tell their whiskey story, talk about new songs, explain how their newest member percussionist / keyboardist Juan-Carlos Chaurand was crucial in shaping their current sound, and how they’ve been successfully growing a following in all parts of the country.
They also treat us to two live acoustic performances of “Libertad” and “Tormenta.”
