A coalition of union leaders is expected to meet with officials from the City of Chicago on Monday. The meeting comes after last week’s announcement by Mayor Emanuel that some 625 unionized employees may lose their jobs. The mayor asked union leaders for their ideas to offset the city’s budget gap—but the unions said they are still reviewing the situation.
