Election Day in the City of Chicago is less than a week away, and all this week on Eight Forty-Eight, we’re taking an in-depth look at some of the key issues and races at stake next Tuesday.

At the top of the ballot this year is the race for Chicago Mayor.

It’s a race that’s attracted very little attention from the press and most pundits this year.

That’s because most believe incumbent Mayor Richard Daley is a shoo-in to win re-election to another term. But not everyone agrees with that assessment.

Earlier this week we spoke with challenger Bill Dock Walls about his campaign for mayor.

Today it’s Dorothy Brown’s turn.

Brown has been campaigning hard in recent weeks, and has just launched her first TV commercial of the campaign.

For the past seven years, she’s been serving as the Circuit Court Clerk of Cook County.

Before that she was the General Auditor of the Chicago Transit Authority.

She has an MBA from DePaul, a law degree from Chicago Kent and is a Certified Public Accountant.

She joins us to talk more about her campaign and her vision for Chicago.
