McDonald’s is continuing to show signs of major growth. The west suburban-based restaurant chain says recent sales around the world have been better than analysts expected. In its quarterly report, McDonald’s says June sales were up almost seven percent in the U.S. R.J. Hottovy,  a financial analyst who follows McDonald’s for Morningstar, said some new menu options have served the restaurant well.

“In the U.S., results were fueled quite a bit by new product launches - namely the strawberry frozen lemonade as well as the oatmeal product that they recently launched,” Hottovy said.

Hottovy says in Europe, McDonald’s got a boost by redesigning a lot of its restaurants. He said McDonald’s has been showing signs of financial growth, while many of its competitors have been struggling recently.
