Some of the biggest names in entertainment have played there but come next year, an iconic theater in Northwest Indiana will be gone. 

The owner of Star Plaza Theatre, White Lodging Services, announced it will demolish the nearly 40 year old structure and the adjacent Radisson Hotel. 

A new hotel will go up but not a theater.
