Are you looking to discover some new (old) music with a side order of voyeurism? The website Cassette From My Ex can satisfy both urges. The new project from one of the Found Magazine guys digitally archives mixes made by long lost lovers on that lovably archaic medium of cassette tape. Oh, and check out one of the first submissions from our very own Julie Shapiro. She’s now the managing director of the Third Coast International Audio Festival, but in 1993 she was the recipient of a mix tape featuring some Mecca Normal songs and half the soundtrack from The Piano.
