The end of June not only signaled the end of the fiscal year, but also time for Eight Forty-Eight to review the stories that hit the headlines over the past month. The Blagojevich verdict, no surprise, trumped all other news at the end of the month, but there were plenty of other talking points - from plans for more casinos to fights over Planned Parenthood.

To sort out all the news that was Eight Forty-Eight was by Natasha Korecki of Chicago Sun Times, Justin Kaufmann of WBEZ and Lenny McAllister of WVON to dissect the stories that hit the news.
