MOSAIC: A Celebration of Chicago’s Communities

Celebrate our one diverse Chicago at the Chicago Cultural Alliance‘s fifth annual MOSAIC: A Celebration of Chicago’s Communities through food, performance, and arts and through recognition of three inspirational local leaders! The event is known for its cuisine and music representative of several different countries, conversation amongst people from all over the world who support Chicago’s cultural diversity, and a truly unique silent auction with items provided by Chicago’s ethnic museums and their supporters.

At MOSAIC, the Chicago Cultural Alliance will honor its Chicago Cultural Champion Janet Carl Smith, former deputy commissioner at the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs, and two Outstanding Community Leaders: Jose Lopez, executive director of the Puerto Rican Cultural Center, and Joe Yazzie, who is a Navajo elder, Vietnam veteran and master artist. A special pre-event reception for VIP ticket holders features honorees and special guest “Candid” Candace Jordan, special cocktails prepared by Koval Distillery and more. Chinese Master Calligrapher Xiong Feng will create two works of art throughout the night and will be included in the event’s silent auction.

MOSAIC attendees are encouraged to wear business attire or their national dress. Tickets may be purchased at chicagoculturalalliance.org.
