A famous mosaic outside Chase Tower in downtown Chicago will be boarded up during the NATO summit.
A spokesperson for Chase Bank says Marc Chagall’s “The Four Seasons” will be covered up from now until the end of the summit.
Spokesperson Tom Kelly said the measure was a precaution to protect the artwork from any potential damage.
The change was first reported by Time Out Chicago.
Chase may be alone in choosing to protect its public art over the weekend.
Cindy Gatziolis, a spokesperson for the city’s Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, said the city does not plan on covering up any of its public artwork.
