Local museums often stack their summer schedules offering something special for tourists and locals alike. Eight Forty-Eight’s Alison Cuddy recently checked out one of these current exhibitions, Motor Cocktail at the Museum of Contempoary Art. The show is the first curatorial effort of Timothy Grundy, the Marjorie Susman Curatorial Fellow at the MCA. He went to an unlikely place for material for the show-the basement of the museum. He repaired and revitalized works that hadn’t been shown in decades. Cuddy started her tour of the exhibition at Jean Tinguely’s Motor Cocktail, the namesake work of the exhibition.
