Presented by Catalina Maria Johnson, with commentary and musical demonstration by professor Wanees Zarour, this musically-illustrated lecture focuses on the beautiful and complex Arab-Andalusian music that developed in the medieval courts of Seville, Granada, and Cordoba during the golden age of Muslim and Arab rule in Spain (711-1492 AD).
